Can't stack the team Avs/Detroit style anymore. Look who could legitimately win this year? Boston, Pittsburgh, NYR, Chicago, St. Louis, San Jose, LA, Vancouver then you can even look at Detroit, Philly, NJ... That's a lot of teams. It's obvious the Kings were getting too much hype coming in, they're in that group not above it.
    Seriously though;

    They look like $***.

Is it just me or is Quick playing further from the net than usual? He has always challenged shooters and played outside the crease but these past three games it seems like he is either over commiting or is just far to slow getting back to the net..

Quick was great tonight, but I kinda know what you are saying. I think if anything it has been a little bit of overreacting if anything.

They are Stanley Cup winners! They dominated the playoffs second only to an Oiler team in the 80's. they are built to win the cup now and for the next few years. They just don't have the desire. Plain and simple!

    WHY?!

Their playing exactly how they did last season.

Scoring a goal a game, losing on flukey ****ty weird goals late in the game..... Quick keeping them in it...........

I'll be worried when they're more than a few games out of a playoff spot with more than 15 games played.

Funny thing is, I think they are playing worse then they did last year.

    Well look....

    It's three games.

Game One I don't even acknowledge. It was banner night. Total aberration.

Game Two they played a great first period and got progressively worse as the night went on but they were never really getting dominated or anything.

Game Three was the most bizarre game I've ever seen. How many ****ing penalties were there tonight? I mean honestly at least half the game had to have been played on Special Teams.

I just don't see any reason to be upset or panicking right now. Mildly disappointed? Sure.... but upset? Genuinely concerned?

    Please...

Just get the 8th seed and coast through the playoffs and we will be happy
(yes an 8th seed doing that again most likely wont happen for a while :( )

I mostly agree. I don't think they lack the talent and Quick showed me tonight he will be fine (even though I wasn't worried about him.) What they are missing is the attitude, and desire. I half expected a hangover and it is in full effect. It will take me a long time to get over the high of last spring, but if they are still playing like this by the end of next week it will be pretty disappointing. They just don't look like they give a $***. I said it before but I understand it. It has to be tough to play these games after what they went through with the previous 20 games. I do think though that they are not a team that can win games on skill like the Hawks can. They HAVE to have the desire and grit to win games. Tonight was about the wackiest games we will probably watch all year but it was still a pretty pathetic effort (how many PP's and 2 mans do you need?).
