Considering that each game is a 4-point game all season long, it will be just as easy to advance in the standings as it will be to fall behind in them. An 8-1-1 type of run at any point in the season will likely put you right into the hunt.

So honestly, panicking any time before, say, the 30-game mark (or 25-game mark if things are REALLY dire) is silly. This team has shown every year for the last three years to be capible of "that type of run" to sneak into the playoffs.

I mean for F's sake, if the Kings win tonight they are 3 points out of a playoff spot and 7 points off of the division leader with 37 games to go. It's hilarious how short-sighted this place is.

No panic, but the sense of urgency should be there from game #1 and I have yet to see it from the team.

my favorite will always be when other teams have games in hand and auto-assumption renders those games as wins.

Kings played great yesterday. Deserved the win. I 'm not panicking... yet.

I hope the Kings players are panicking. In the first 10 games, they have not beaten a team with a winning record except in a shootout. They did beat a Phoenix team with a goalie...enough said. Their third win was against a solid Columbus team, so they got that going for them, which is nice. They only have six spots to overtake.
