Watching the games they've been playing on FS west reminds me why when the time comes I'll re-up, I love hockey and I love the Kings. As much as it sucks that we're in this predicament yet again and so quickly, hockey is a business and labor negotiations are part of business(unionized at least). Do I agree with it? Not at all, and I think both sides are doing damage to a sport that was finally gaining some traction and especially for the Kings who are dominated by the Lakers/Clippers and Dodgers.
It's not all bad. I mean, I doubt Phoenix is losing any season ticket holders. Yup, all 297 of them remain.
I pay $38 a seat for section 303..2 seats...Lockout aside and the lockout won't stop me from going to games either just not sure if its worth getting a season.Last year I found seats on eBay for a lot cheaper than what I am paying.I guess I will decide after a season what ill do.This whole lockout sucks though cause I really was looking forward to going and seriously getting into hockey again.I believe the Kings completely sold out of the mini plans somewhere around when the Finals or maybe before. You can't even get a half season.
I'm on the fence right now... earlier I was in a bad mood and felt like "Hell no I'm not renewing"... now I'm a little bit more positive. Or I just miss hockey. :(
I think that's one of those pros and cons of having season seats. People get season seats knowing they're paying for some perks like having the same seat every game, always sitting around friends, things like the gifts, Team LA discount, Meet the Players party, first priority at playoff tickets, etc.
Other people that don't care about those things are fine buying tickets from places like Stub Hub and ebay for what might be less than season ticket or box office pricing. There might be games where you can find similar seats for less and there probably will be games where you can't find a similar seat for what you're paying in a season ticket package.
It's one of those personal things where you have to decide if the perks that come from the season tickets outweigh the fact that you might be able to find individual game tickets for less.
The 10-game plans sold out before or at the beginning of the playoffs. I believe the half-season plans sold out during the playoffs. I don't know if there are still full-season plans. I spent $8000 on school this year so full-season is out of range.
I don't remember when they normally start selling STs for the next season, but I don't think they're doing anything yet. They're probably just trying to hang on to the STHs during the lockout.
