By your logic, wouldn't the fans flocking back to baseball on account of steroid inflated power numbers be an unwise use of the fans' money? If so, how do you explain the fact that baseball has not lost any games to strike or lockout since 1994? Why is there a correlation between the fans using their money unwisely and work stoppages in hockey but not in baseball?
Well...yeah, I suppose if the fans don't go back, the NHL will fold and, hence, there will be no more lockouts.
