Default I'm Sure You All Have Noticed the Kings Have a New Sponsor this Season

How about the sponsors they added to the glass at each end of the ice on TV? I'm beginning to feel overstimulated when I watch hockey. And not in a good way.

I don't much care about the increased visibility of high paying sponsors....

but I do want to know if that money is included in HRR and/or how that increased revenue from McDonald's impacts the Kings role in NHL Revenue Sharing.

Hey if McDonalds wants to give my favorite team a ton of advertising money, that's great. However it has always made me a little sick how they're advertising so close with organizations like the Kings who preach youth hockey/health/being active. Something about it just doesn't sit right. What the human body needs, and what people think it does is so far apart from each other. Most of that can be contributed to how they were brought up, and who wasn't brought up without McDonalds being forced in (and out) of all their orifices?
That's the only thing I get from McD's anymore... their McMuffins for breakfast. And the iced coffees.

I grew up eating McD's burgers until I realized what crap they were. Even other places like Carl's Jr are much better quality for fast food.

    I don't get it.

Growing up I wasn't brain washed by the TSC cafeteria. It's like how Coke makes you feel all warm and fuzzy with those polar bear commercials but in reality Coke is just wretched for your body. When you grow up with this **** being pounded in your brain you don't think twice about it until you're already addicted.

Healthy food doesn't have to be expensive. Buy in bulk and portion it out throughout the week. Its very easy to do. People are just too lazy to take ownership of their diet in this aspect. I was in the health and fitness industry for 10 years.

Read Fast Food Nation and I guarantee you that you'll never eat that **** again. I wouldn't eat there if they paid me. The only thing I would consider eating there now is an Egg McMuffin and coffee. And that would be as a last resort.

Using the $1 menu is a copout. When my wife and I have kids, they will NEVER eat there. Not a chance in hell. If you don't condition them to like that ****, they won't crave it. Eating healthy doesn't mean it doesn't taste good.

Sorry, it just pisses me off to see what companies like McDonald's are doing to this country. Yah there is plenty of personal accountability involved here. But McD's doesn't give a rats ass about you, me or anyone else. They serve up horrible food and treat their employees like absolute ****.

You're spot on. That's what's wrong the most with USA capitalism - it doesn't care about your well being at all IMO.

BUT, there's nothing wrong with occasional unhealthy meal (because some of them are delicious, unfortunately). If you're aware of it, and don't make it a habit (rather a "dessert" for every now and then), there won't be a problem. But you HAVE to be careful with kids, yes. That way I eat (good, not Mcdonald's) hamburger rarely. The same applies for Coke and other similarly unhealthy stuff.

I'm sure if a "healthier" company put up the same amount of money, they would receive the same level of sponsorship. Do you really expect the team to allow one company to pay a fraction of what another is paying, but give them premium treatment because they're morally superior? That just ain't how it's done.

Oh you absolutely have to treat yourself once in awhile. I just choose not to do it at a fast food place. I'll go to The Tripel in Playa del Rey at get The Tripel on a pretzel bun. Yah, its a $15 burger but it will blow your mind. If I want to indulge in something not healthy, I'm gonna make it worth it.
