In the late 80's my brother and I played in Culver City for Marina Cities Hockey Club. The only place to get gear was golden bear and the shop in the Culver ice rink run by some old Euro mafia guy. He was not the friendliest to say the least. I remember a couple old chevron logo jerseys hanging there but the price seemed absurd at the time. I'm born and raised in El Segundo and I don't believe there's ever been a shop in town prior to Jake's. (I'm 35 so anything in the early 80's or even 70's is out of wheelhouse)
As to original question, I don't ever remember seeing jerseys for sale at the forum. I was young so the only thing I ever got was a mini stick, puck and those bad ass little keychain figurines. I had Kings goalie one for years till the paint came off. Now a days it's so easily accessible to get any jersey customized and they're so affordable. Look on team LA, they have sweatshirts around the same price as a jersey.
