Islanders claim Hickey, Nashville claims Clune

The Islanders have a ton of injuries on the blueline so Hickey should get a real good look for the rest of the season. Very excited for the kid.

Wow if he keeps that up, he might end up as bad as that Drew Doughty kid..

A very Martinez-y goal by Hickey, pinching all the way down to the goal line in overtime.

People can moan and groan about losing him, but when you take off your Kings glasses, you see that this is
exactly why the waiver rule exists. A guy like Hickey may not be more than a #6-7 defenseman, but he deserves a chance
to play in the NHL and not be hoarded by a team that doesn't need him. And let's be honest, even with the injuries, he's still
not the player the Kings need.
