Islanders claim Hickey, Nashville claims Clune

I just emailed the Islanders asking them to give Hickey number 69.

Let's hope Hickey does as well as Tambellini did for the Isles.

Keep in mind that the Isles took Nabokov off waivers when he was supposed to be coming back from Europe so that he could be traded. They now have a demonstrated record of going against possible "understandings" because "F*** you! That's why."

This sucks. I still had faith in him.

Last week, excluding Lubo, the NYI had 3 D-Men on their roster. They are scrounging for "NHL-Ready" Defencemen.

I'm actually very happy for Hickey. I've been rooting for the kid for a very long while and I think he'll get a long look in NY. There's no doubt in my mind that he is NHL ready.

This just gives DL ammo or a reason to make more moves. Stewart > Clune, Muzzin/Martinez > Hickey. It also frees up 2 roster spots.
