Yeah, we actually did get something in return for another number 4 overall pick we had that never made it with us.

I was wondering this as well. If he was assigned, was claimed by the Isles, couldn't the Kings pull him back and try and make a deal with the Isles? Of course it takes two to tango and the Isles could've called the Kings bluff and not offered anything and forced the Kings to take him on the NHL roster. I was kind of hoping the CBA would resolve these kinds of shenanigan's that are played on both sides but probably not.

It is too bad the Kings got nothing in return but they had to know with d-men at a high premium that someone would place a claim. Oh well.

Wouln't it be funny if the Kings sent the Isles something to offset the 2nd rounder they paid Anaheim and Lubo reported to the Kings?

Which is great, but they're 2 points out of a playoff spot and just lost one of their better guys.

DL done ****ed up and Garth Snow is a dick.

Voynov made Hickey a fleeting thought. 20 points + 12 in 54 games in a regular season where we were not great until the end.
Like someone said - draft picks are a crapshoot.
