Gagne? You mean that softie that was lucky to be on the 4th line?

Carter was by far the best guy on the ice tonight. He shoulda gotten the #1.

Dude was all over the place in his own zone, was looking to get scoring chances, scored on the PP, AND got the game winner.

    What's a brotha gotta DO???

Also, Williams is a sexy bitch.

    yeah!

funny thing is, he's CLEARLY lost a step in his game, but he's still by far the most gifted forward on the team. he's even creative on his dump-ins.

Sutter really needs to involve him on offense much more... the powerplay in particular, because he doesn't need that slash speed he used to have anymore.

hell, i'd roll him with the second line for a couple of games. i get Sutter's taste for Clifford, but they need a little more finesse right now.

I thought so too until I saw the slo-mo replay. The puck never changed direction or fluttered in flight as it passed by both Williams and Carter. Slava's goal.

It was truly a "seeing-eye" slapper. As Sutter had said earlier, he just wanted the defensemen to hit the net.

And Cliffy's success has gone to his head a little bit. He's out there trying to Datsyukian the puck high in the offensive zone, when he needs to just dump it or throw it at the net and bang. You either gotta put him with Kopi, or back down with Fraser and his brother from another mother.

at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Like Williams last year, Gagne will make up for his diminished speed with a more intelligent game. And, like Williams did last year, I think his quickness will increase the more he plays and remains healthy.

The Kings are lucky to have a player with his skills.

Didn't think I'd be saying this... but hopefully Gagne can help get Richards' speed and stamina back, and reunite some of that Philly goodness.

I'm saying, with his skillset, he should be nowhere NEAR the 4th line. But...he was there...and he totally showed his gumption AND why his skillset is being wasted down there, all at the same time. I still don't see why the Philly line hasn't been resurrected yet. And Cliffy...although he has worked his ass off and earned a spot on the higher lines...he just fits in with Nolan and Fraser like a freaking GLOVE! That line is tits!
