Default Jerry Buss patch on Kings jersies?

I know they honored former King owner Dr. Buss in a pre game ceremony, but no patch? The Kings had a patch for Jack Kent Cooke when he passed. Here are a couple thumbnails of the patch.

Dr Buss with the 85-86 team at the Fabulous Forum.

Cook founded the team, Buss didn't. He only owned the team for 8 years and they did almost nothing in that span. I don't think a patch is really necessary, but then again, they'll do anything to sell more jerseys.

    Meh....

He only owned the team a short while and only because it was part of the Lakers/Forum package. Cooke had particular significance because he brought the team into the league.

yeah, let's face facts, Buss wasn't a hockey fan. If he had liked hockey as much as basketball, who knows how good the Kings could have been.

Um, no patch camp for me.

if they get a jerry buss patch it might be confused with a jonathan bernier patch.

Actually, based on everything I've read he seemed to really enjoy hockey. The problem is that you can't build a winner in hockey the same way you do it in basketball. Basketball is a star driven game. You can go out and land 3 stars and you've got yourself a contender. You need much more depth on a hockey club. THere is more emphasis on developing a large supporting cast of role players. You can't just go out and acquire Marcel Dionne and expect to start winning games.

It worked with Gretzky. They got him and started winning games. I know what you mean though. Was just having fun.
