This will never work unless the players themselves boycott, and stay in Russia and Europe, the AHL and what not. When the NHL finally resumes, I will continue to watch and monitor the Kings and the NHL like a friggin crack addict. If the talent stops showing up, I will lose interest. The KHL should be salivating over this. Imagine if they kept the NHL's Russian and some of the top Euro stars. Nice.
The damage that's been done, and as the KHL gets stronger, I wouldn't be surprised at all if top world players opt to go to the KHL and elsewhere. As a response to these lockouts and as a diehard fan, I would totally welcome these player skipping the NHL. This would pressure both the NHL and PA and we'd never see another lockout.
The damage that's been done should benefit diehard fans.
