Key Observation from My First Game Live This Season

The Ducks made the mistake of playing physical with the Kings and waking them up. When the Kings play physical, they are a completely different hockey team.

The cool thing I've noticed lately is that although he isn't scoring as he was, Doughty has taken more of a physical role. He's tightened up in his own end and is hitting everything that moves. /Me Likey

Doughty has been interesting this season. As far as offense goes it has been a disaster. However I think he has made some decent improvements to the defensive part of his game. Sure he makes mistakes, but generally speaking I think he has looked good on that side of the puck. I'm a little worried that the scoring hasn't yet picked up for him though.

I think about it this way, if I won a sports car (take your pick) but I wasn't a huge fan of the color, I'm pretty sure it would eventually grow on me. The Kings won the Cup last year, and AEG ponied up the $$$ to have the banners hanging from the rafters, not the wall like the Lakers bagillion titles, and they chose to add the retired jerseys to is as well. That's a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar cry from what the place looked like wrt the Kings in 2001.

So, in short, I have nothing to complain about. You folks can be unhappy all you want. Thats your problem.

I agree 100%! I like the fact that they all match in a sense. I don't care if the font is the right one for the era. I like the uniformity of it. We win the cup, hang things from the rafters (where they belong), upgrade the old retired numbers and people still want to bitch. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
