On those two Ducks goals, the Kings really missed having Greene or Mitchell to clear out the front of the net.

Off topic but I didn't want to start a new thread about things I noticed at the stapler but does anyone else hate the retired Kings jerseys? They changed it after winning the cup. Not feeling the generic numbers and names. Anyone else.
And yes I miss greener and Mitchy
Yup. It bugs me that the number design isn't true to the uniforms they're obviously based on (and on Robitaille's, the striping isn't true to the jersey at all). Ideally the uniforms would be, well, UNIFORM, but the team messed that up by changing them so often. But to be consistent on any level, they should match exactly what the players retired in, or go the complete opposite direction and have photos of the players like the Leafs do or something.
And in the 3rd period, we steamrolled them like we did most nights last spring/early summer.
Bring on the Wings.
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Voynov is now tied for 3rd in +/- for defensemen. Playing amazing hockey. If Muzzin can show he can be a day to day, consistent Dman, between AMart, Doughty, Voynov, and AMart you have a pretty solid young 4 to work with.
Makes it easier to potentially lose Scuderi, Mitchell and Greene over the next 2 seasons to UFA, that's for sure.
Was watching the Duck feed on Prime Ticket late last night and they interviewed one of the Ducks in between periods (maybe Getzlaf) and he made mention of us missing a few key players on defense and their (The Ducks) strategy to try and pressure us low based on it. Immediately thought "Green and Mitchell" cause, yea, they're the key players missing! Nice to see it didn't work out for the Duckies. But it's still hurting us to have them out. Hopefully Voynov can keep up his stellar play.
Nope. Doesn't bother me one bit. I like the effort that the org has been putting in to club. I have NOTHING to bitch about.
I think about it this way, if I won a sports car (take your pick) but I wasn't a huge fan of the color, I'm pretty sure it would eventually grow on me. The Kings won the Cup last year, and AEG ponied up the $$$ to have the banners hanging from the rafters, not the wall like the Lakers bagillion titles, and they chose to add the retired jerseys to is as well. That's a faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar cry from what the place looked like wrt the Kings in 2001.
So, in short, I have nothing to complain about. You folks can be unhappy all you want. Thats your problem.
