Good to see the last D pairing play very well. Hopefully they keep that up and we will have less hand wringing about the #5 and #6 defensemen. BTW, Muzzin was +4 tonight.

Aside from not scoring AGAIN on a 5-on-3, it was a really enjoyable game to watch.

I have a friend who lives in NYC. Apparently she was riding the subway and noticed a guy with a NHL ID badge. She struck up a conversation with him and it turned out that he was the Assistant Director of Hockey Operations. Turns out that the new CBA contained a clause that gave the rest of the NHL a head start on the Kings, because LA is so stacked. That obviously expired this morning at 12:00 PM, and now the 2013 Kings can begin their real season. Obviously this would be denied if they were ever officially asked about it but I trust this person. She's a Rangers fan and would have no reason to lie.

Great win tonight! Starting to see flashes of a team beginning to gel. Bad officiating no doubt. Build off this win and take the momentum into the Canucks game.
