Exactly, with Pickles and green out, muzzin and wiske have not been bad but they dont have the mean streak. I see this as more of a green replacement this year, i hope and not of Pickles not being ready anytime soon. Again i say, "I hope"

6'5" and 217 is actually kinda skinny. Jack Johnson, by comparison, is listed at 6'1" and 230. Greene is listed at 6'4" and 234. Drewiskie is 6'1" and 220.

The bottom line is that Ellerby may help provide better play in the Kings zone. But until the the forwards stop being pussies on ice and taking all their shots from the perimeter and poor angles the losses will keep piling up. Rinne made 32 saves last night that I would venture 90% of the people on this board could have stopped. He had very few tough saves because the Kings looked to be unwilling to go to the scoring areas and fight through the big Predator defense. Sutter and Lombardi need to lay it down to these guys that if they are unwilling to toughen up and get to the scroing areas, they will be dealt for someone that is.

That also said, he's from Alberta just south of Calgary. I have a feeling that Sutter may know something about him already, and that this is a slight project to develop Matt Greene Jr.

And maybe even A-Mart when everybody is back healthy.

He was a former #1 pick, 10th overall. He's only 24. Stay at home types and power forwards take longer to develop.

Because of the trade partner, I have a feeling there may be something else afoot at the end of the season.

Quick hasn't been completely lights out, so I'm betting we hang onto Bernier until the end of the season.
He has got 125 NHL games under his belt is what I saw off the press release. That is a lot more then Muzzin and Drewskie have. I also think Ellerby gets paired with A-Mart immediately to settle A-Mart down. Dude is tough stay at home type that has upside development. I Agree with you - I think Sutter knows this kid and he may develop well under Darryl. I like the deal.

Also agree I don't think Kings move Bernier yet but he and Quick need to pick their games up. The team needs them. Quick has been showing signs though.

Ellerby is gonna wear #5. That should keep the Blake hate/love crap off the board for a while.

Just wondering... Seeing Rawley19's photo of the '74/75 team caused me to think if anyone has worn #2 for the Kings since Terry Harper. I don't remember.

Yes, definitely. Don't remember who. Brian Benning? What was Zhitnik?
