Big "3" and you have DD on the list...? In money/salary or what?
In the playoffs...
Doughty was the teams best skater by a wide margin. Quick was the teams most valuable player.
Kopitar and Richards are both terrific centers, and equally important because the bring different facets to a team that proved they could handle any kind of style thrown at them. Both faltered and succeeded at different times for different reasons. Having both is pretty freaking lucky. I don't see how or why anyone could point to either as being better or more indespensable than the other.
For the love of god. I pray there is a season. I can't handle this ****.
Brown by a country mile. I am weighting the 2012 playoffs heavily, because winning the Stanley Cup is kind of the whole point. Brown steamrolling people set the tone for the dominant nonstop attack that propelled the Kings right to the finals, and he had a slight part in a certain power play in a game six somewhere.
Ask me again at the end of the season. If Brown has grown from the boy we knew into the man-version I saw in the playoffs, Watch out. I still can't believe what I witnessed. I think he took a leap forward.
Dude was hitting like a truck, getting in the dirty areas, scoring short handed, dekeing Roberto while protecting the puck with his leg, sniping corners from between defensemens legs. What the ****?!
Damn Orpheus and his book recommendations, now I'm thinking about the kings and trying to justify what happened with a regression to the mean concept

At least there's the possibility to be pleasantly surprised again
I wouldn't say there are only the big 3 but the big ones are
Kopi
Quick
Doughty
Richards
Carter
because of their long term deals and are star players. I know Brown I didn't add because I want to see if he can keep the same level of play as he did since the deadline. Also I really don't see Williams here for the long haul. Maybe finish the rest of his contract but I see like Toffoli being ready by then and also think Kopi still could use a top 3 sniper on his wing. But right now our team rocks and definitely contenders still.
i'd rank db heads and shoulders above richards. pointless in comparing careers, lets go by present (or last season) performance
