    Default Kings in Europe

Since it seems that we are looking ahead to another lockout, I've decided to start a "Kings in Europe" thread tracking Kings players or prospects who are playing overseas.

Oscar Moller (wearing #45), who remains Kings property, scored a hat trick against MODO in the Elitserien (SEL) season opener for Skelleftea. His linemate, Bud Holloway (wearing #11), added four assists. Highlights can be found here:
    SAIK - MODO - Hockeyligan.se

Not a bad start for a couple of prospects in the pipeline.

I hope some Kings players think about joining the German Hockey League. I would love to see one of my idols play. :D

I can't help but think that there is some strange obsession over Bud Holloway at times.

See? Everyone saying that Voynov would go back to play in the KHL was right! Sort of. . .

This whole 'playing in Europe' thing is total BS, for everyone involved. For seven years no NHL player gives a rat's ass about European clubs, but when it's convenient they settle over and take away spots from established roster players and/or talents who otherwise might make the cut?

And NHL players get locked out because they demand more money, but then play in Europe with virtually no payment at all, just to keep in shape?

    Not cool, not cool...

Do you really expect these guys sit back and collect unemployment like the rest of this country?
