Kings have migrated from Ticketmaster to AXS, and I don't like it!
With Ticketmaster, one could view every individual seat available for a game except sometimes during the first hour or so when tickets first went on sale and many people were tryng to access the system. During those times, one entered the quantity and price level or type of ticket they wanted, and the system selected the seats for them.
Not so with the new AXS system. All seats are selected by the system after one enters their quantity and price level or desired section. If one does a new search without changing the selection criteria (quantity and price level or section), they keep getting the same seats over and over again unless someone else has bought those seats. This is horrible. I liked being able to scan the entire arena and having the freedom of choice with Ticketmaster. The entirety of Staples Center tenants are migrating to AXS as well. This is definitely a step backward. The Dodgers, Angels, UCLA, USC, Hollywood Bowl, Music Centre and many other venues allow ticket buyers to see every individual seat available.

AXS is owned by some company called the Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG). Hmmm, sounds familiar.

It's been like that ever since it came out. Definitely inconvenient. Was a pain to even browse Summerslam tickets because you can't see what seats are there. Then again, you couldn't do it for Ticketmaster either for certain events.
But with AXS, all the fees goes straight to AEG's pockets and they don't have to share with Ticketmaster.

I can't believe we're pining for Ticketbastard. What would Pearl Jam think?

I can't believe a ticket selling service came out that makes Ticketmaster look good... Do you realize how BAD something has to be to be worse than Ticketmaster?

You probably need to wait a month for them to activate the seating map. Even Ticketmaster doesn't allow you to pick from the seating map when tickets first go on sale - I usually have to wait at least a month for the first surge in demand to die down and then whatever is left they put up on the map. I'm guessing you were trying to buy Kings tickets on their first day of availability - you're not going to get a map for that.

Those of us who purchase a lot of concert tickets have been dealing with this for a while now. AXS is a nightmare. The waiting room BS, the lack of an interactive seat map, the convoluted login process... it's... well it's bad. I've also experienced crashes during heavy sales while trying to check out. These happened with TM too from time to time. But seems more common on AXS. It does make you long fondly for the days of Ticket Master, especially after you're forced to use it many times over.

No. Incredibally short-sighted of just plain incompetent system design.
