I'm not married to the idea either way, but I still don't think there's anything wrong with giving the guy a shot, if he's willing to sign cheap.

This team is, I think, beyond the point where a "dumpster dive" is going to hurt it.

You say Trent Hunter, I say Dustin Penner.

Maybe i don't know enough about Redden, but I was under the impression that he's not a terrible player. He wasn't worth his high paying contract for sure, but a 1-year for 1-2 mil would be a bargain no?

If Wade gets a contract with any team, his +/- will still be better than JMFJ's. So there's that....

and what i meant by "wouldn't hurt" was that it wouldn't hurt to kick the tires... i'm fairly certain Dean will do his due diligence on a player like Redden.

and i say - Dan Cleary

Which one of those two scored an OT goal to put the Kings in the Stanley Cup Finals?

You do realize JMFJ was a +5 after getting traded to Columbus, a team that gave up the 3rd most goals in the NHL last year...

Yep. Still makes him...what... -7 on the season?

Shots per game avg. Points per game avg, TOI, +/-, all got better after he was traded. Good for JJ.

Does that mean you think he'll stay on that pace in Ohio? 48 games at the pace he was putting up #'s post trade would put him around 30ish points and +12 or so this season?

I love Team USA guys, so I'd love to see JJ post up that kind of season. But I don't think anybody would call me crazy if I was skeptical to take the over on that kind if +/-.

Definitely an instance I hope I'm wrong.
