Honestly, I'm not really surprised if the Kings/AEG is at fault for this. It's just so typical for them to screw something up.
They gave me an email address, still waiting for a response.

I don't know how they could screw this up so badly... it's not like there are half a dozen players that live about 20 min. from the stadium or anything... I'm sure they could get at least 1-2 of them to show up.

I think he vast majority went back East or North to their home towns for the summer.

Good to see the Dodgers are making good, though. Sadly, the fact that the Kings' org dropped the ball on this is not the least bit surprising to me.

Love Jimmy Fox but I also wanted to see Kopi or Fraser or Nolan or my cousin Marty signing some swag. Kind of glad I didn't get tix. Now if my favorite Ice Girl wants to share some nachos and a Coke, I might be willing to go.

Which one is your favorite? I'll tell her you couldn't make it.

I'm probably going to the game just to watch the Kings highlights to the tune of a fireworks show. I'll buy some dirt cheap tickets for the upper deck. Can't see myself eating $40 worth of hot dogs and sodas. I'm not sure you can really blame the Kings. I'm sure the player's have stuff in their contracts as to how many of these promotional events they have to attend.

My guess is that they probably had certain guys slated to do this a long time ago, then they went ahead and won that cup and they're all pretty exhausted by the non stop parties and team events that have been going on this summer. They deserve a break form the fan fare. Sucks for the autograph seekers but at least the Dodgers are offering refunds.

I think ALL of them went back home. Didn't Quick move his whole family out of California? Isn't that why he blamed his wife for
"Packing everything up...including his suits" and shipping them back east? I thought it was kind of odds he would do this, but
maybe he thinks the lockout may be a long one.

Quite disappointing. Talk about bait and switch.

Yeah, I don't think anyone on the Kings lives in LA full time all year. I bet they figured that some of them might be in town skating by now, and in a normal year, they might be. But when some of them haven't had their days with the Cup yet, it's obvious they're not going to be in town.

Not saying the Kings don't deserve blame for saying players were going to be there and not following through. And unfortunately, with the way people are, I think people still would have complained about what players did come. "What, they only got Kevin Westgarth and Davis Drewiske to show? Where's Kopi, Brown, Doughty, Richards?"

Greene and Stoll skated yesterday at TSC. So some of them are probably back in town. Fyi Crosby was there too.
