I feel the same way but it would bum me out because that's the one day of the whole year I can't take off of work.

I agree and they still have to have a shortened pre season. That's only a little over 2 weeks away.At least its going to get resolved
Honestly, as much as this excites me, it couldn't be more inconvenient. Sure, I bought tickets to the 3 NOV game just in case, but I was planning on going to an arcade auction in the morning before heading to work. If this does become the game, though, I'll be missing the auction and work.
First world problems.
December is the earliest hockey will be coming back. All of you people with November plans are spared the inconvenience of seeing the Cup banner lifted. Thank goodness.
Do people on this thread even have home opener tickets ?
Serious response....1) Some people here are putting the cart before the horse. An offer doesn't mean the NHLPA will accept it. IF they're starting the season with a compressed schedule, that doesn't necessarily mean that they will follow every team's schedule from Nov 2 forward and then be like "Ok, the Oct 27 game against Phoenix that was cancelled will be replayed on Feb 12." They may draw up new schedules. However the Clippers play the Lakers on the 2nd, Clippers are scheduled for Sat night (making it extremely unlikely you can flop the basketball and hockey game), Lakers for Sunday night. Perhaps you can tweak things to get the Lakers to play a day game Sunday and do the Kings game Sunday night.
Either way, it's still a bit early to be worrying about when potential opening night is without a signed CBA.
