since it looks like the season will be 48 games any clue how the Kings have fared after 48 games the past few years?

Basing how they would do in a lockout shortened season on how they did in an 82 game season is ludicrous.
I'm sure you could find the results on Los Angeles Kings. Shocking, I know.
Frozen Fury, the only reason you can't wait for summer to end!![]()
well, last season, they made the playoffs and eventually the cup in the last 48 games.
Just waiting for the obvious Kopitar is invisible for a portion of the first 48 games post.

I don't think you can make comparisons but Kopitar being out will hurt a lot.F!!
It's not ideal, to be sure, but the Kings have the depth to handle it. Their regular centers are Richards, Stoll, and Fraser. However, Trevor Lewis, Jeff Carter, and Brad Richardson can also play center. It will be interesting to see (If, of course, their is a season) how the line-up will be adjusted. That will be an interesting discussion if and only if the CBA is approved. For now, suffice it to say the Kings can withstand this injury, assuming it's not serious as reported.
