It doesn't seem to matter who we play--Nearly every game is close, close, close.
We could be playing Buffalo, or Chicago, and we're still down 1-0 in the middle of the game.
Game after game, this happens.
At this time, it is relevant to ask:
----Is our "system" BORING and uncreative to our own players? (It is to watch, a lot of nights).
----Is our system predictable and easy-to-scout for other teams?
----Does our "defense 1st, 2nd and 3rd"-system really get the most our of our guys?
----Relative to the state of things in the current NHL, is our system "state-of-the-art"?
Times change, sometimes quickly.
I know our system won the Cup less than 2 years ago.
But has the League already changed/adjusted to that style?
Unless we can add-to, enhance or somehow evolve the current Kings system, will we still be able
to beat teams with a more diverse/varied system, like Chicago, Anaheim, etc?
We have a lot of good offensive players, goddamnit!
It would be a lie to say we do not.
Are we taking creative artists (our best players), and making them paint by numbers?
