Sorry but, the lock-out was not about fun. It wasn't fun for the owners,majority of players, people whose lives depended on the games, or the fans. We should all have a lot more respect for the players who remained here in the States and fought it out for their beliefs.

Like Crosby, who only didn't go and play overseas because he couldn't find anyone to insure his enormous contract?

So all the players should have stayed indoors and been grim and depressed these past several months??? Or could they do stuff, as long as they didn't have fun. And why should any player who is not from North America stay here?

Haha yeah. Pretty sure Kopitar goes to Europe to train every summer regardless of a lockout.

The Kings will be fine without Kopitar, hopefully by April he will be ready to go for the push into the playoffs and beyond.

Well yeah. Fraser is obviously going to continue centering the fourth line, and I would imagine Carter/Richards/Stoll/Lewis will fill the 1/2/3 spots over Lokti and Richardson. But indeed, we have options!

By the way, am I the only one who thinks of this commercial EVERY time I pass this thread?

The Kings are deep enough now to withstand the loss of Kopitar for a little while and make the finals for the first time since then.

In this case, 3-4 weeks IS almost half the season.

It's not like the guy plays all that well in January and February anyway...

I'd like to temporarily see:

Brown - Gagne (yes, he can play up the middle) - Williams
Penner - Richards - Carter
King - Stoll - Lewis
Clifford - Fraser - Nolan/Richardson

Didn't know Gagne could play center. If that's the case, this lineup leaves lines 2-4 intact from last year.
