Thread: Kopitar Opener

Any news, inside info, guesses, on whether Kopitar will be a part of the Banner raising celebration? Or is he going to sit this one out completely.

I'd like to see him there somehow, because I believe he's a fan favourite and had a major part in winning the cup. Even if he's on the ice with a suit I'd be happy.

Any ideas?

I am sure he will be there an introduced, but not looking like we will be playing. Probably on the bench and then back to the press box.

No insider information, but I will bet my left nut that he'll be present for the ceremony. How could he not?

Indeed. Don't say things like "I'd give my right nut to see the Kings win the Stanley Cup" if you aren't ready to pay up come that glorious day...

After how Kopitar played during the Stanley Cup Finals, Sutter has every right to sit him for the first 7 games of the season.
