For those of you who think the Quicksilver shorts are a bit pricey.

the agent p suit (white and hot pink cats on blue, 2nd from the left in the foreground) cost $400. the orange and pink hermès bikini was $800 (anniversary gift to me). i live in socal by the beach and my daughter is in mommy and me swim class... i practically live in a swim suit... might as well do it in style...
i have another that i've bought since this photo was taken but it was closer to $100 with a few gift cards...

hmmm... this is also not bad for a shorter inseam option since they are trunks and not board shorts. i will show to hubby and see if he wants these also. i saw they made a baby bikini also but i'm not a fan of the quality and my daughter is too big for them now anyway.

Buncha cheapasses! Good quality boardshorts will last you YEARS with the materials used today. I have 2 pairs of DaKine's that I bought in Haleiwa 15 years ago that are almost in new condition and I surf in them every year. I think I paid $50 bones for them back then even. I also have a few pairs of Quicksilver's and Billabong's that are probably 10 years old too. You get what you pay for. My only prerequisite for boardshort purchases is that they are double stitched and dry wikiwiki.

it's still a bunch of cotton/polyester garbage made in china. i highly doubt quiksilver is "top of the line" by any means either... i have a distorted view of the world, obviously. i can see spending a bunch of money on a nice board but I don't think shorts are really... gear. i don't know what the hell i'm talking about though. I hate the ocean i've had 2 pairs of boardshorts for.. 10 years. don't think i spend more then $20 on both. don't even know where i got them or what brand they are. I also bought every piece of furniture in my house for under $200 total from thrift stores.. i guess i'm just cheap??

i WILL admit... the shorts look nice.

Hahaha nicely done. That certainly is an alternative. Elastic waistband boardshorts do scream "I'm from the mid-west/east coast and I've never been on a west coast beach."

No offense but then you clearly know nothing about boardshorts, the surf companies that make them and the surf culture as a whole. Sure, you can but the Target special for $20 but if you wear them on a very regular basis and surf/bodyboard they will NOT last you 10 years. Quiksilver IS top of the line despite what you think. And $60-70 for a pair, while pricey, is the norm for top of the line boardies.

They aren't some thin pair that you'll get at Target. They are very durable and can be worn as everyday shorts. Please take it from someone that has lived all 36 years of his live w/in a mile of the beach. Born and raised at the beach.

If distorted view of the world you mean completely wrong on this particular topic, then yes, I'd totally agree. I really don't mean to come off like a dick but, well I probably did.
