Cause the other thread wasn't good enough?
What are you talking about? This is a refreshing way of viewing games the way that we're used to, right? I hope they include a Big Bear Snow Report!

mmm mmm mmm, loved that hit that by richards on burrows!!!
I can get used to these "Classic" games!
So the game was blacked out then came on randomly?
You know it wasn't until I started watching these games again (and I'm lucky to have them all on disk thanks to a fellow LGK fan) but when we played Vancouver the game was not lost by Luongo. I mean yeah, I hated him as much as the next Kings fan during the regular seasons previous, but the fans truly threw him away. They lost because of the antics and not the goalie and they want to get rid of him. I don't' know, just think that is really low.
Maybe because we won the cup and I feel more generous, but I hope Lu gets a deal in FL. Smith should go to Van.
Completely agree. I feel like even as it was happening a lot of the Canadian writers were saying how he really wasn't playing bad and Vancouver kinda threw him under the bus to switch it up. We really throttled them. I was so nervous watching that series live and thinking Vancouver was just going to roar back.... its great to go back now and really, truly, enjoy just how much we whupped their ass. It's very satisfying
It absolutely wasn't Luongo's fault they lost but unfortunately for him, he came with a LOT of baggage heading into the playoffs. Year after year he failed in the playoffs and the final straw was last year's finals against the Bruins. Everyone knew his leash was extremely short this year. I agree that he has failed continually when it really mattered (he almost lost the gold medal for Canada) but I don't agree with throwing him under the bus like they did. The only thing it did was tell the other players on the team that they weren't the reason they were down 2-0 going back to LA.
While we're talking about what we've noticed while rewatching these games, because of how good Richards was in Game 1, I didn't notice as much how good Brown was in that game. He had about 4 golden chances in the first period alone and was hitting like a truck.
