Pierre says that the basic idea would be to go to what was originally proposed in December 2011 with potentially some minor tweaks. From what he says in the article, it sounds like the likely tweaks would not affect the Kings' conference.
I believe the net result is that we'd see more of Calgary, Colorado, Edmonton and Vancouver, less of Dallas, and slightly less of all the other current Western Conference teams, but we'd play all the current East teams at least once.
Personally, I like it.
