Hope his request goes through. Loktionov deserves to play at the NHL level by now. Wish him all the best.

I can't say I blame him. The guy plays 39 regular season and two playoff games and still doesn't get his name on the Cup (while a guy like Westgarth does), but he also has it exposed on national TV that he doesn't get invited with Richards and Doughty when they go out for sushi.

Seriously? The reigning Hart Trophy winner for two career minor leaguers, a journeyman foward, and a d-man in the last couple years of his career? I like 14 and 33 as much as the next guy, and 33 certainly was a major contributor in the Cup run, but 33 would have rather limited value in a trade, and Malkin has 30 more career goals in 279 fewer games than 14. If you think the pens would do that, why not throw in Penner and AMart and see if they'll include Crosby?

To the Islanders for whatever picks greater than the 5th round you can get for him.
