Oh please, a 5th is almost an overpayment.

Not exactly the return I was hoping for. Oh well, good luck to him.

KINGS ACQUIRE FIFTH ROUND SELECTION

Combination of non existent market for a small center and maybe a slight favor to Lou?
February 6th, 2013, 02:59 PM #16
I would have expected a little more, but the market is what the market is.
If he is worth a lot more than a fifth, someone else would have offered better.

I'm not sure why it's still such a difficult thing to understand that trades don't always get equal value. Everyone knew that he had no spot on this team and that the Kings would have to move him. It's not like some team is going to overpay for a guy who only fits a particular role and hasn't proven that he can do it full time in the NHL.
I can't wait to see the ****storm that happens when they move Bernier for a 3rd or 4th.

Yeah, what I was thinking.

Best of luck Lokti. Obviously not an ideal return, but sometimes you just can't make chicken soup, even if ya have the chicken.

I think that was a good deal for the Kings since Lockti wasn't going to crack the Kings line up for at least a couple of years. Hopefully with NJ he can find his game. Good luck Andrei.
