DL's a bum... He could have gotten Harrold back at that price...

I'm just happy this deal was a wash. Lombardi gets to go fishing in the 5th round again and maybe he'll catch a keeper this time.
Good luck, Andrei.
Two words...Thomas Hickey
I thought he was a good young player who could have been a star in the right situation. Hope he does well in New Jersey and they win a cup(name etched on Stanley) and he's part of that glorious honor! Personally I would have had him on the 3rd line with the Kings! Anyways good Luck to Andrei hope he scores 20 goals and has 40 assists next season. Jersey needs some offensive players since Zach Parise flew the coup not that Zajac,Kovaltchuk and Henrique are chop liver. Actually Andrei will be the perfect set-up man for Kovaltchuk!
PS Dean Lombardi again didn't get much value on this trade. Andrei is worth a 2nd rounder for sure. Maybe Deano should have had some sort of condition attached to the trade...Oh Well!!!
at the draft party a couple of years ago, and under a considerable haze, i heard Birdman yell out the following (about 4 or 5 times, i think) - "don't marry yourselves to players!" he went on to reiterate that idea more than once on the boards, and i believe it to be absolutely sage.

Three years ago... Hickey, Johnson, Schenn, Simmonds, Loktionov, Purcell and the soon to be departed Bernier all filling top spots on the charts...
And now, a Cup.
Small undersized center with a history of Shoulder problems headed to the rough and tumble Patrick Division. I dont think he will be the next Moulson or Purcell by any stretch but who knows.
