Default is losing you're stick the same as fumbling?

because when you lose your stick in the defensive zone it gives the other team a great advantage. when you fumble and lose it it gives the other team the ball and a chance to score. should stat keepers have a stat for sticks lost (SL)? it could indicate how reliable you are in the d zone. it would have to be kept separate from broken sticks....or would it? discuss.

Should there be a statistic for every time a player falls? It's very important to stay on your feet.

players fall constantly. would you consider being checked and falling down a fall, or is a fall only when your by yourself? it's more important to hold onto you're stick. look at donuts sliding to break up that rush, is that a fall? you don't make any sense.

Hockey isn't football. Plays are not 25 seconds long with a long break until the next one, they are shifts, often several minutes long without a break, with many different stat-keeping details happening during those minutes. If you want to start keeping track of obscure stats, go right ahead, but I don't see the benefit.

I doubt, "guy who loses his stick third least in the pacific division" comes up much in contract negotiations.

So let's assume it is the same as a fumble... that begs the question: what's your ****ing point?
