Someone more adept than me will have to post the video but right before Luc gives Kelly the box he opens it up and sees that there is something not cool in the box with the watch.

My wife says price tag, and that might be.

But Cool Hand Luc takes it out, calmly sticks it in his pocket and goes on about the business of honoring KH properly.

I thought that maybe it was broken from the way he looked at it.
