Most players are put in pairs, sometimes there are 3 of them. Although last year, Dustin Brown was alone and his line was loooooooong.

Expect to only get in about 3-4 lines, which will net you about 8-9 signatures. That's what I've been averaging the last few years anyway.

The general rule is to let a player sign one item, and then you snap a photo with the player. Though there are rude people who break the rules by having players sign 10+ items. Hopefully it gets policed this year to get the lines moving faster for sure...
TC pretty much summed it up but I have some tips for those who will be going:

    1. If your plan is to get as many autographs as possible and you are going with someone else split up. My daughter and I did this last year for a couple of lines and ended up with 13 signatures, which is 5 more than I got the year before. Or team up with a fellow LGKer and do the same.
    2. The lines will be long, be patient and make new friends. You know everyone there has the one thing in common of being a Kings fan, I have not run into one person yet who wasn't willing to talk Kings hockey while in line, (who knows it could be one of us).
    3. In the past there have been Ice Girls going around selling raffle tickets for various items, it could be a calendar or a signed piece of memorabilia. I know there are those who will tell you they are a waste of time, but I am here to tell you that I have won something the last three years including two signed sticks.
    4. The players are every bit as nice as they seem when we see interviews, but you will notice some are much more interactive with the fans than others. Last year I had a great time talking to Greene, Penner, Stoll, and Richardson.
    5. Have fun, do not let the lines get you down because when you get to the front of the line and you are called next it will be awesome knowing you will be shaking hands with a Stanley Cup Champion!!!

I'd temper the expectation that the lines will be brisk considering everyone and their moms will be wanting to talk about their own Stanley Cup stories with the players.

It may be too late for this but what they need is something similar to a Disneyland Fastpass. They can call it the Press Pass or something and you can use it for one line to get faster access to the one player you would want to get. Would be willing to bet this could shorten lines because after going the last few years I have noticed several people coming in to get the one player they came to see and then leaving right afterward. They could even limit the amount of people in the Press Pass line so that you could see if it was worth using at the time. Just saying.

theres only 5 autographs i want. I got the 4 playoff pucks and the champion puck and i want each player that eliminated each team to sign that puck and quick will sign the champion puck.. that collection will be awsome.

Anyone have 1 extra ticket (or an extra they can't use) for a big Kings fan who unfortunately can't throw down for season tickets?

Actually, they did have something like that, but it wasn't free. I can't remember how it worked - a raffle prize? Or maybe it was just paying a fee? Anyway, the winner/purchaser got to cut to the front of ALL the lines. I think there was only 1 or 2 winners, so it didn't really impact the length of wait, but their whole family got to cut the line.. I think they called it VIP Pass. I would think if you were only going to this one event and HAD to get ALL the players' sigs then that would be something to seek out.

    That's an incredibly excellent idea.

I have a jersey that I bought from the Team LA store before Game 4 that I decided to get signed by everyone who was on that team. Then frame it. It'll take me a while, but it's worth it to me.

Can someone please descibe what happens at this event? Is it just waiting in line for autographs or are there other things going on? Is it fun for the kids?

Default Meet the players is THIS SATURDAY NIGHT.

Everyone desperately trying to score tickets let me tell you! Take a deep breath and relax. They'll be other ops for you to meet and get sigs from the players. It's just impulse why you are bent on doing it this weekend because the season is back up. Realize that you are victims of a lockout. They'll be other times. Heck we got quick aboard for 10 years. And those sigs mean squat without being authenticated.
