Would I do it again?? HELL YEA I would.
Sorry Schenn, sorry Night Train. Good luck in Philly. Wish you the best.
I do not miss simmonds nor schenn, not an ounce of regret whatsoever. I was ecstatic the day of the trade and still on cloud nine a couple months after 6-11-12.
Richards could retire tomorrow and I still make the trade.
I knew I liked Mike Richards when he assisted on the OT game winner in the first game of the season. I think I started to love him when he fought Brenden Morrow a split second after Morrow clobbered Kopitar with a late hit in January.
I don't miss any ex-King. I root for the 20 guys suited up for any given game and even the 2 - 3 guys in the stands. I root for the guys in Manchester. I root for the guys in Ontario. I root for the prospects in Canada and Sweden and Russia, etc.
I don't miss any "ex" (especially my ex-wives).
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety - B. Franklin.
Someone added the same #4 in another post and I totally agree. I remember when Sutter went down to Manchestah and then these two came back to LA. At first, my reaction was wtf. When King came up last year and Murray placed him on the first line in a classic "set up to fail" situation, he was not ready. And I didnt think Nolan was anything other than a 4th liner. But that extra year in the minors made all the difference as these two made a signifigant difference. Just another reason why the Sutter hiring worked out fabulously.
Now someone lock Fehr and Bettman in a confercne room, and figure this non-sense out. I want to see that a-hole Tortorella watch them raise the banner at Staples early October!
