Sorry wrong thread
I don't give two ****s what hat he wears in a damn interview. He isn't obligated to wear a damn Dodgers hat b/c he plays in LA. I don't like the Dodgers or Lakers and I live in LA. I am so tired of this stupid discussion regarding what baseball hats our guys wear.
Edit....
The OP said Philly hat not Flyers hat. Big difference. No way in hell he wore a Flyers hat but who gives a **** if he wore a Phillies or Eagles hat? I sure as hell don't.
What Simmonds is capable of? Getting a long term high dollar contract out of Philly? Anybody could do that!
Yes, I would make the trade. I think it is great for Simmonds to have such a great season last year but Richards was a legit top-6 forward no questions asked. Richards lets the Kings really optimize the forward lines because the roles are obvious. There is no "well Schenn is a 3/4 now but I'm hoping he turns into a #2 eventually. So we really don't know exactly how best to use him for today versus grooming for the long-term.
The Kings have the best centers in the NHL IMO and that is why this was a great trade.
Kopidor - Fox 11's favorite centerman and a legit NHL #1
Richards - small but gritty as hell and a legit top line guy as well
Stoll - See here is where things get great. Now Stoll is a fantastic #3 instead of being a serviceable #2 (and having the question mark of Schenn vying #2 time later on). Instead we have a top notch #3 who dominates in faceoffs and can score
Fraser - perfect 4th line center. And Sutter thinks so too "It doesn’t bother me to play — I don’t call them our fourth line, I call it Colin Fraser and whoever is playing with him. So if they’re on, they can play against anybody."
So yes, great trade.
After what happened last season, hell NO! Mike Richards did not bring anything to the LA Kings, except a Stanley Cup, however, I am into more individual awards.
Yep, Andy Murray >>> Roger Federer as a hockey coach.
