Think it was mentioned in the meteor thread. I also recall seeing a Kings logo in one of the meteor videos.. Kinda cool.

yeah but the rooski's were the first to space.

don't know how many people know about the famous russian notion of despair, but it was in full force when this meteor crashed. some russians already feel like they have very little to live for, the crash made this negative sensibility come out in their locality

Not entirely related, but it's interesting that while "Rooski" has been used here for many, many years as a derogatory term for Russians (and Soviets), the Russian word for Russian (both regarding citizenship and language) is pronounced rooski.

So while it may be meant as an insult, it's regarded as just talking.

Yes... When the Russians put up Sputnik, it really surprised the US and forced America to really concentrate on developing the sciences and science education, which led to us dominating those areas for a while..
