This regular season is no different to last regular season, that was no different to the previous regular season when they finished 7th in the Conference and no different to the previous regular season when the finished 6th.
Had the lack of scoring/defense/clutch goaltending been something that is making its first regular season appearance with this team this season, then yes I would agree to kick back.
However that is not the case and regardless how warm and fuzzy the cup run made us feel, history tells us a different story. And that story usually ends badly in the Kings getting steamrolled in round losses leaving the fans to make excusses about how hard they played, luck breaks, bad hops, bad goals and missed opportunities.
IMO the team got worse due to the injuries and I think they stayed pat with the thought the season would be canceled and made zero attempts to upgrades.
Bottom line if after game 15 they are in the same boat, changes need to be made not for this season as it will be lost, but for the future seasons.
Conrgats on the son.
