...and Brayden Schenn's plan to lead the AHL in scoring, is foiled
^This post is completely idiotic, don't read it.^
Kinda weird that they petitioned for him and not Loktionov...
Not that I felt either should have been on there...but still. At least Loktionov is still on the team.
"Hey Terry, we put in a request to get your name on the Stanley Cup! You're going to be on the STANLEY CUP!"
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the NHL denied our request. Sorry, you won't be on the Stanley Cup. We tried."

I know exactly what will happen during that first practice - get out the black spray paint, Terry.
Well, without TM's leaving Kings don't make the playoffs much less win the cup -- so he should be on there but upside down.
I get where you're coming from, but that would be typical backwards thinking by the Flyers. Aren't the Phantoms supposed to run the same system as the Flyers? Murray can try and instill a more defensive way of thinking into his young players, but it's still Laviolette's offense first system they'll be running. By the time there are enough AHL graduates who learned under Murray make the bigs, it could be years from now. Besides, remember back when Simmonds was responsible defensively? Then his last year here he regressed when given more offensive opportunities and now it appears he's forgotten all of Murray's tutelage in one season under Laviolette. Flyer fans don't speak highly of his defense and Wayne somehow managed to go -3 versus the Penguins. That's Jack Johnsonesque!.
The only name on the cup that means ANYTHING is...
2011 - 2012 Los Angeles Kings
Edit: to fix my typo which was so generously pointed out by my fellow LGKers. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety - B. Franklin.
