GG this! I used to (have to) go to baby showers when I was dragged there by my wife or when one of my coworkers was going to have a baby. About 6 - 8 years ago, I just hit the wall - no MORE! What a waste of ******' time for men.
Now when there's a shower at work and I'm walking out the door to have lunch with friends, the guys in the conference room look at us with that "hey, where are you guys going / please take me with you look..." suckahs!
I'm including "Engagement Parties" in this too.
Millions upon Billions of people get married and have babies. Do we need a party for everything? Oh and for those of you who have destination weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties AND an Engagement Party.......
**** you.
Why do I have to spend my hard earned money and my weekends/vacation time on three separate events celebrating the fact that the you and the person you already live in sin with are signing a document that means she legally gets all your Kings **** when you die?
Go to hell and give me back my three day weekend and that salad spinner I bought you.
Ass.
I outright told my cousin's fiance - If the Kings were raising the banner on the same day as your wedding, then I hope y'all have fun at your wedding.
THE ACTUAL WEDDING.
And ges,
We watched Game 1 of the Blues series at you and Kat's baby shower. I appreciate the fact that you knew what was going down and planned accordingly, so that was cool.
"Only a numbskull thinks he knows things about things he knows nothing about."
"It's understanding that makes it possible for people like us to tolerate a person like yourself."
Had to google what a baby shower is.
i've said the same, haha. there's this giant culture of presents presents presents now so people'll have multiple showers just to get presents. not sure if it was an idea planted by babies r us type industries to get people to buy more of their crap or if it's just because we live in a consumerist society where you just buy new stuff and get rid of "old" stuff constantly (or let it all accumulate...)
duuuuuuuude, i took my girl to her first game when she was 5 wks old! slept through it for the first couple months and then wide awake the rest of the time until now. buuuuuuuuuuuuut i know every situation is different.
whenever he's game ready, i'll teach him to high five her.
