Default NHL Center Ice [Time Warner]

    Hello Kings fans!!!

I'm fairly new to the sport. I've only been watching the Kings for about 3 to 4 seasons. In that time, I've grown to love the sport. I'm starting to familiarize myself with the Kings, but I want to see the other teams. So my question is to you fans/addicts with Center Ice, specifically with Time Warner. I've tried to search online and read so many conflicting information. I know about Blackout restrictions. I know that you get to see approximately 40 games a week. How is the quality? I read that most games are in HD with Time Warner. I read that some are in HD and some are in SD. I've also read that the majority is in SD. So what is the truth? Lastly, what is your general opinion? Is it worth it for the upcoming seasons and its price tag?

I also have read about Game Center but I'm not a big fan of streaming and watching sports in tablets/cell phones. I want to enjoy it in my big flat screen.

    And, thanks!!!

Well here's my experience. I used NHL Game Center, but have my computer hooked up to my television, so it's in full screen bla bla bla. Might wanna look into that, it's nice if you have streaming programs on the computer (Netflix, Gamecenter, Amazon Prime, etc.) and it's also cool if you ever wanna find a not so legal online stream and watch the game that way due to blackout restrictions... I hated Game Center though. I got maybe 55 games out of last seasons 82 games... and ZERO playoff games. It was absolutely worthless in the playoffs. If I live in Idaho, how the hell am I supposed to watch the playoff games? I was forced to watch them online thru streams because I don't have television (and will never get it) and the NHL offers literally no way to watch out of market playoff games online, which I found special.

If I were you, I'd call Time Warner up and ask for a preview. Maybe get a week for free just to see if you like it or not. I had Game Center and only ever watched the Kings but like I said I'm out of market so that was the only legal way for me to watch them... I've since stopped using Game Center though strictly because I couldn't watch play off games. I never watched other teams games... for some reason I'm more a Kings fan then a hockey fan I guess.. if I don't have a team to root for I don't care.

Thanks for the reply. I did call Time Warner, and they weren't really that much help. I'll give them a call again.

TWC only gives you ONE HD game a night all the rest are in SD.

If TWC only has one HD feed per night, I wouldnt purchase. DirecTV has almost all the US feeds in HD. Canadian feeds, with the exception of the CBC HNIC feeds, are typically in SD.

TWC sux. That is all I gotta say. They never consistent with their billing and for what you be paying them you can just get Directv.

I tried TWC this summer to reduce costs and within 30 minutes I knew I would be back with Direct TV.
There's no comparison on the picture quality and DVR capacity.

Not to mention TWC couldnt broadcast a decent signal to save their lives. And god forbid should they screw up anything and you have the gall to call them about it! But if your into that whole dom/sub thing n like being treated like crap then TWC is made for you!

If you value picture quality DO NOT purchase Center Ice through Time Warner. Even the lone HD broadcast is compressed to hell. Nearly unwatchable. I really, REALLY miss DirecTV.
