It seems to me that the NHL decided that the Nikolai Prokhorkin contract with the KHL was valid. No problem there.

It seems odd to jump to conclusions that Lubo is going to stay in Russia.

It seems that you might want to wait a week or two to make this thread..you know, when the season starts and Lubo (potentally) still isn't here.

So... Visnovsky:
1. contends after he was traded to the Islanders that he was supposed to have a no trade clause come into effect so he could nullify the trade
2. runs to Europe for the lockout
3. states that he wants to stay in Europe now that the lockout is over
4. thanks the Islanders organization for being good to him, and his decision is for his family, and is not a reflection of the Islanders organization?

If he wants to stay in Russia, so be it. Why try to keep him playing on a team he doesn't want to play for. He'd be useless.

It does? He already stated to the media that he WANTS to stay there and continue to play in the KHL. What is so odd about me having interest in seeing how this situation plays out. To me what is odd, is jumping to the conclusion that I'm outraged...That was quite a leap.

Thanks for the posting advice, but I'll pass. I'm interested in watching how the sequel "Ryan Smyth part II- Divas Go to Europe" plays out NOW and will be until it's settled. If that doesn't sit well with you, there is a simple solution...
