I agree there are useless but they are fun too. Vancouver was good all season. They deserved to be at the top. I also think they were the hardest opponent for the Kings in the playoffs.

Kings should be #1 until other teams can show they can beat them.

Why would they get respect? It is almost the middle of January and they haven't even won a game yet! Pathetic!

Burnside ranked Edmonton at #24, and LeBrun ranked Edmonton at #25. Does 24/25 now equal 3? Incidentally, in those same rankings, Burnside ranked the Kings #1, and LeBrun ranked them #2.

But like someone said above it's still meaningless either way. Who cares if the Kings get respect? In the future the only thing anyone will remember is who won the Cup....all the rest is just media hype.

SI doesn't count, they don't even use the right logo.

When you piss and moan and whine about how nobody respects you, I doubt that's gonna get you much respect.

So just do what you do and if the respect comes, then it comes. And quit pissing and moaning and whining about it.

Just like the Kings did all playoff long.

Pre-season rankings mean nothing. Just ask USC.

If i was to bet on what the experts say , and bet tons of money on it ; I would be in skid row ( please no pictures of Sebastian Back )

Actually, I hope the press and other teams DO think May-June was a fluke. Let them think that, the way they wrote off Michael Corleone until the day they christened that baby.
