Default So now that the lockout seems pau, what happens with Center Ice subscribers?

Ive heard rumors that the NHL *may* comp those of us that have an exsisting/current history of subscribing to the C.I. package. HTM on Sirius 207 has been talking about this extensivly over the past few weeks so it does seem to have traction. Plus, if I understand this correctly, the NHL proper owns CI and can do whatever it wants with it so it is totally plausable. I for one, would accept the s*** of that jesture and call it *Good*. I would buy a partial package either way but saving $50, $60 or even $70 would be great. What about you "aint touching anything NHL..." peeps? Sticking to that stance? What about the non Center Ice people? Realisticaly, What would the league need to do for *you* to regain your patronage?

    Thoughts? Opinions?

Also, please post when you hear something from your carrier as well. Im a 8 season CI subscriber via Direct TV and expect that glorious phone call as soon as the Schedule and TV schedule are released. I'll post what they say asap.

    Heres to raising the banner!

Those ****ers had better give it for free this year.....AT THE VERY VERY LEAST. An 8 ball of coke and some hookers wouldn't hurt.

I think it would be very cool of the NHL to comp the entire short season to EVERYBODY that has a residential account with a cable/sat carrier that carries CI. Wont happen for Bars and Commercial subscribers but should happen for the common household.

A note on my DirecTV bill awhile back said that if and when the season started the charge would be prorated, so 1/2+ the full-season cost. But if they discounted it from there it would be their gesture of good faith the the fans.

The rumor that it would be free was denied pretty quickly after it made the rounds.

While making it free would be a nice gesture, I'm guessing it will be around $100 for the year

Dunno bout that SC. Boomer and Thistle were talking about it again last thursday as if it was still being batted around by the league office. If you think about it, its about the most direct, fastest and simplest way to *start* to make ammends with the fan base. I could see it totally happening.

That's why it won't happen. NHL knows the sucker fans will come back no matter what. They'll pro-rate it for the shortened season and sell it like it is a good deal. "Look suckers, Center Ice at nearly half off the 2011-2012 price!". I am also curious to see what the NBC and NBS Sports/Versus schedules look like. In recent years there have been enough "free" games that I haven't felt the need for CI.
