Thread: Official 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings Book with Bob Miller call DVD

well hopefully this will end any uncertainty about what's included on the DVD.

Every copy of the book will include a DVD of Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals, with the play-by-play call by Bob Miller and Jim Fox, recorded live during the game. The DVD will also include the call from Nick Nickson and Daryl Evans, plus some special video footage of each Kings goal.

This is definitely a substantial book. It’s a large, hard-cover book with hundreds of great photos, lengthy written recaps of the entire season and special contributions from folks such as Luc Robtaille, Bob Miller, Tim Leiweke, Dustin Brown, Darryl Sutter and other team members.

I can't wait for this. I ordered mine on Friday.

Cammy, you're right, it sounds great!!

Based on your description, hopefully it means there won't be any embarassing typos that every other book that's been published on the Kings' SC win had:

-The supermarket-type rag (Rodale Press?) had some nice photos, but lots and lots of errors.

-The LA Times one had several, including a "season preview" that was of the frickin' 2009 season, including a story about everyone's favorite ex-King, Ryan Smyth(b/c his whining homesickness resulted in us getting Fraser).

-Even the NHL-published one had errors. I'm only about 1/4 of the way thru it, and already read about how the Kings fired their coach, Bryan Murray, midway through the season.....

The Rodale one or the LA Times one also mentioned how Richards and Carter won the Cup together in Philly. OMFG!!

Hopefully, the Kings hired someone intelligent to actually proofread and fact check the text before they print it. Maybe, just maybe, they can get their own history and facts straight.

I'm a fish. I ordered the book. Called the phone number and it said the wait time was less than 2 minutes, but I actually waited 19 minutes. We're right on track.

Just placed my order for a book for me and my sister. Us far away peeps had no idea the book had the damned DVD of the call

Sorry if this is self explanatory or been said over again and I missed it but on the email I got it says "Also included is an exclusive DVD, with Jim Fox and Bob Miller announcing Game 6!" Does that mean the full game you see with them commentating or is it just parts of the game? Sorry for the dumb question but even for $60 I just want to make sure before buying. Just reading the small print on the email it says Daryl Evans calling it and footage of each Kings goal. So to me why would they say footage of each Kings goal if the full game is on the DVD?

everything I've read says it includes "Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final" with the calls from Bob & Jim, as well as Nick & Daryl. so I'd imagine it's the whole game, and you then have the option of choosing which of the two calls you want to listen to when you watch the full game on the DVD.

Makes sense. The part that worried me though was the small text under that which said "Shows footage of each Kings goals". I guess it could be another feature to select if you just want to see the goals but makes me a little worried because for me right now $60 isn't just a dime in the bucket.

I totally agree. I'm assuming they're also having the footage of Bob and Jim when goals were scored, like the video Kings Vision posted of the two of them calling Williams' goal in Game 5. which was awesome.

What it most likely means is that there is extra footage of each goal not seen on the broadcast and/or I'm assuming footage of Bob and Jim actually making the calls, just as we saw KingsVision post on here a few days ago.
