Got home earlier today and much to my surprise the package arrived. I am certaintly not complaning but when I ordered I was told 7-10 days delivery time and I know it was shipped on Thursday. From reading the posts it seems everyone in the LA area got it in one day. Wow once I got the package opened I was really impresssed. What a beautiful book and I love the cover. It would be nice to find a book cover to protect the the real nice book cover. What a very well put together reminder of the season and it seems each player has a page. This would be great to get signed by all the different players. The entire book is great so many great photos and stories and they recapped the season the playoffs and even the celebraton. It was nice to see better versions of some of the pictures we saw on line like the Bob Miller with the cup picture as well as other pictures. I have been a fan since 1986 when Robitaille and Carson were rookies, the 1993 run in the playoffs was fun to see and I have great memories of going to games at the forum.

When I ordered I kind of kicked myself for spending that much $$$ but I wanted the DVD with Bob and Jim call of the game. I never expected the book to be so nice with so many nice color pictures and a great reminder of of the Kings Run to the cup. After seeing what the UPS man left on the porch after a very long day at work I am so glad I decided to order. I like to collect sports memorbillia especially Dodgers and Kings stuff. I think this book and DVD are probably going to end up being one of my favorite pieces of memorbillia in my collection. Hopefully I can watch the DVD in the next few days.

You don't even want to know what he considers as inserting the disk as there are significant alignment issues that need to be overcome. Lets just say my copy may already be ruined.
HAHA! ya, my daughter doesn't know the dvd exists yet. i'm actually a little nervous about breaking that seal, it's so pretty. lol. we held off on watching it tonight because we were too busy but i'm sure we'll get to it this weekend.

i keep my records in a plastic sleeve to protect their covers (it's an OCD/preservation of valuable items thing) and definitely almost instinctively grabbed a sleeve to slip my book in and then stopped myself because they're totally different sizes, haha.

That sucks. Don't open it and call Team LA. I dont see why they wouldnt Exchange it. Since it was sent UPS, it was probably insured up to $100, so Team LA won't be out any cash.

On that note, anyone know of a nice book cover for it? And no, I don't want to buy the fancy version of the book. I'm thinking of having a custom made box for it, maybe with a plexiglass lid. Oh man. Looks like I got me a project.

Yeah my son is wearing that beautiful seal on his forehead to bed. His idea, not mine.

You folks bitchin about a dent in the binding....I'd be mad but I'd get over it quickly.

I was thinking the exact same thing! I carefully peeled it back and slid out the DVD. The book is very nice but the DVD gave me the weepy eyes again. I actually liked Nick's calls better than Bob's but I love Bob and it was incredible to relive that game with him.

The set was well worth the cost and will live in the archives next to my VHS tape "Road to the Stanley Cup Finals" from 1993!

you really should contact a librarian about the best way to display a book and what to achieve by covering it if you do. Last thing you want to do is burn the book with a cover.

I did the broadcaster experience last November with all 4 guys and regret not asking them for their notes or autographs. I did take pics with them so that was cool. Nick Nickson even mentioned our names on the air, writing our names on his timeline notes for the game, things to mention etc. I need audio to download for that game.

Awesome. I was trying to convey what it was like to be there, sounds like it worked.

Did anyone order it at the Stanley Cup picture day for STHs at Nokia? If so, have you received it yet?
