I wonder why that is? I was able to buy it from their merchandise truck at the FanFest two weeks ago at Glacial Gardens.

Back in October I was at staples to see Carrie Underwood in concert. I arrived a little early and visited the TeamLA store and just for the heck of it I asked if they are selling the Kings Book/DVD. Much to much to my surprise they said they do have them in back and can sell it. They offered to go to the back and get one. I did not want to say anything here but now I see that the TeamLA truck is selling them I thought I would say something.

I have an extra one if anyone really needs it. Brand new wrapped. Just want what I paid $75.

so the TeamLA store is selling non-deluxe edition book? Just an FYI...I'm still waiting for my deluxe edition. I check my order everyday and its still Processing! I'm going NUTS not having it yet.

i'm sure they can still sell the book. they just can't officially do it, like online, where they can get caught red-handed by the nhl. gary buttman isn't going to show up at team la and say "i'm sorry but you can't sell that". lots less effort to do an online search and say "i'm gonna nix that like i nixed rich hammond's interviews!"

and maybe that deluxe book takes longer to make what with it being leather bound and whatever else makes it more special. i don't know. but ya, i'm sure the wait is a killer.

I wonder if they received some sort of clarification on what they can/can't sell or you have no communication going down to the individual workers. I just find it interesting that all of Bailey's Buddies were supposed to get Bailey bags and some people have ordered after the lockout deadline or bought them at some of the local rink events and gotten Quick bags. Then there's the books not for sale but people still getting copies.

If they're not supposed to sell things because of player licensing rights and they are, to me that seems like more of a legal issue than Bettman just saying they can't do it.

ya, i think it's a legal/licensing issue but like i said, it's not as easy to enforce if they're just doing it at little events like the fanfest. i can't really opine on team la selling it since it's a mixed bag of randomness and ineptitude there...

I can attest to the fact that you CAN buy the book at Team LA at Staples. Picked up 2 today...

so my wife tried to call and order the book/dvd today. guess what they said? all sales on the book/dvd have been suspended until further notice. ie: til the lock*FU Bettman*out ends.

why? same reason as others explained above. licensing issues.
