None of the above seems to improve anything.

If I were commissioner, I would aggree with Donald Fehr to operate under the old CBA until the new one if ratified. This way players play and fans get to see the game.

This needs to happen, and I really think it will. They would be foolish to delay the season right now. I think it would have a longer, more devastating effect this time around.

As for the OP....no clue on how any of you opinions would help the situation.

Many of the additional fans that gravitate to the Winter Classic game are casual or non-fans. I don't believe hard-core fans care much for it. As a hard-core fan, I would prefer to see the game played under more optimal conditions . . . indoors.

The commissioner has no power to implement such a rule unilaterally. It is something that could only be implemented through the collective bargaining process.

I think we all share your frustration over the possibility of a lockout, but what good would an empty threat like this do? What if the teams and union don't comply? What's GB gonna do? Hold his breath until he turns blue?

Never been to one nor do I want to attend one live unless it's the Kings visiting the Canucks and I can wear my Kings gear and taunt the Canucks fans. SoCal is not the place for a Winter Classic. Hope it never happens here.
