Of course they/you are, this is entertainment business. What, you'd like to watch the best hockey in the world for free? Even in Slovenia you have to pay a lot (considering our paychecks and what we actually get to see in a game) for tickets and we are a 3rd world country as of last year! Seriously, what do you people expect? NHL is a huge organization involving quite a bit of financial risk for investors in teams participating in it and a whole damn lot of effort throughout the whole players' lives, and you still complain you're the "poor fans"? Half of USA thinks healthcare for everyone is bad, and some of you want hockeycare. Do not understand.

I'd be extremely happy to be able to watch NHL NOT in the middle of the night. I'd also be extremely happy to earn more than 15k€ per year as a mechanical engineering college graduate, but I most likely won't. Stop complaining. And sorry for the rant (I also think I MIGHT have misunderstood your post a bit). ;)

mine wasn't a complaint, more an assessment of the inevitability of the lockout.
I wish the sides could actually be partners, but that's not the nature of the business.

not in the "poor fans" category either. In fact, at the frozen fury poker game in las vegas, I was the only one not wearing a kings sweater, because I only own one, and never wear it. everyone thought I was a non-kings fan who crashed the tournament.

But they/we are the golden goose. best not kill all of us.

It looks as if the NHL is considering a couple of proposals from the PA. Hopefully, the NHL won't stomp out of the meetings like 3 year olds again.

Things may be looking up....I hope.

Also, hopefully the PA has given proposals that are worth considering as opposed to the crap they gave last go around.

Things I see tweeted don't really sound all that encouraging... hope it's all speculation.

As long as they're still at least talking, I'm happy and optimistic. It's when they aren't, then I'm pessimistic and annoyed.

As opposed to the crap the NHL gave out at the beginning?

Whatever the case, at least they are talking. If this doesn't do it I don't know what will work.

If they cancel the season I think the fans should just place the whole lot of them in the middle of the freeway to be run over by a clown car.
